Qarhami

Qarhami Track · Qarhami OBDThe GPS tracker built for rental fleets.

Two trackers, one per car: Qarhami Track, hardwired with remote lock, unlock and horn, and Qarhami OBD, which plugs into the OBD-II port in seconds. Both run the same app, from three cars to three hundred.

  • Both: Turo and direct bookings as trips, alerts, maintenance
  • Track: remote lock, unlock and horn
  • OBD: fuel level and check-engine light

Wired into the car.

A 20-position harness carries power, ignition and the control lines for door lock and unlock, horn, engine control and hood detection, into a housing about the size of a deck of cards.

Which lines are connected depends on the vehicle and the installation.

Qarhami Track · 02

Mounted, not tossed in.

Four mounting lugs hold it flat and high under the dash, label side up, away from large metal surfaces. A professional installs it once, and it stays out of sight.

Qarhami Track · 03

The controls live here.

Lock, unlock and sound the horn from the vehicle card or a guest's Shared Access link, with engine controls for a parked vehicle. The card only changes when the car confirms the command.

Engine controls are for parked vehicles only.

And the record starts.

From the first ignition, every trip, event and odometer reading lands in Tracking, Trips, Reports and the car's maintenance history.

Hardwired or plug-in: how to choose.

Both keep the same record for every car in the same app. The difference is what the device can do, and each vehicle card shows it at a glance.

Getting started

From the box to the first card.

1

Fit the device

Track: a professional installer wires it in, usually in 30 to 45 minutes, plus about an hour for lock, unlock, horn and engine controls. OBD: plug it into the OBD-II port under the dash.

2

Add the car in the app

Pick the device serial and type the VIN; the year, make and model fill in. Add the plate, a name, a photo and the Turo listing link, then choose the car's plan.

3

Bring in the bookings

Set up Turo forwarding once and those bookings arrive as trips; direct bookings go in from the app. Draw your first geofence, invite a co-host, and the fleet is running.

With Qarhami Track

Questions

Before you order.

Should I choose Qarhami Track or Qarhami OBD?

Choose Qarhami Track if you want remote lock, unlock and horn, from the app and through a guest's Shared Access link.

A professional installer hardwires it, and it adds engine controls for a parked vehicle. Choose Qarhami OBD if you want a car running in minutes: it plugs into the OBD-II port and adds fuel level and the check-engine light. Both run the same app, and one fleet can mix them.

Does Qarhami work with Turo?

Yes.

Forward your Turo confirmation emails to Qarhami once and each booking arrives as a trip, linked to its car, with its dates and included miles. Both trackers work the same way. Qarhami is independent of Turo: it reads the confirmation emails you forward and does not connect to your Turo account.

How is Qarhami Track installed?

A professional installer wires Qarhami Track under the dashboard, usually in 30 to 45 minutes, plus about an hour to connect lock, unlock, horn and engine controls.

The device sits high under the dash, label side up, away from large metal surfaces. Which controls work depends on the vehicle and the wiring installed, and the vehicle card shows only the controls that are fitted.

Does Qarhami OBD have remote lock and unlock?

No.

Qarhami OBD has no remote controls: it can't lock, unlock, sound the horn or use engine controls. It does carry live location, trips, tracking, geofences, alerts and maintenance, and it reads fuel level and the check-engine light from the car. For remote commands, choose a hardwired Qarhami Track.

What happens if someone unplugs the tracker?

You get a tamper alert, and the tracker keeps reporting.

Both devices carry a backup battery: Qarhami OBD keeps sending its location after it is pulled from the port, and Qarhami Track keeps reporting if its power is cut. How long the battery lasts depends on its condition and how the car is used, so act on the alert straight away.

Can I move a tracker to another car?

Yes, with help from support.

A device serial is tied to one vehicle record in the Qarhami app, which keeps each car's trips and history separate. When a car leaves your fleet, contact support to release the serial, then add the device to the next car in the app and choose its plan.

How much do Qarhami trackers cost?

Qarhami Track is $100 and Qarhami OBD is $90, paid once, one per car.

Each car then needs a plan, chosen in the app: Track plans are $10, $13 or $15 a month, depending on how often the car reports its location, and OBD Ultimate is $9 a month. Every car bills together on the 1st.
